I’m Zoe Goldstein, a New York-based artist.
Born and raised in San Diego, California, I’ve been storytelling for as long as I can remember—literally. I started performing in musicals at age 7, and by the time I turned 18, I had found myself in over 30 musicals, plays, and staged readings. As I grew up in the performance world, I would discover that performance, as an act of expression as well as service, was how I wanted to spend my life.
I applied to around 25 college for a BFA in musical theatre (to ensure I would get a degree in theatre) and decided to pursue a BFA Musical Theatre from Texas Christian University, a school I fell in love with. I am forever a Horned Frog.
As a dynamic belter and character actor, I’m known for singing a really high impressive note while others dance around me. Strong and quirky, bold and bright. At 5’3”, I’m a spunky gal who packs a punch and isn’t afraid to trust my comedic authenticity. I’ve been described as vibrant and warm onstage—your quirky leading lady, sassy best friend, or sexy villain. I bring wisdom beyond my years with just a touch of cool aunt/grandma energy.
If you’re looking for your next Elphaba in Wicked, your next Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, or your next Queen in Six, I’m your girl. I also have a deep love for Stephen Sondheim’s work and fit right into any of his shows, especially Dot in SITPWG or Mary in Merrily We Roll Along. Some of my biggest acting inspirations are Barbra Streisand, Bernadette Peters, and Meryl Streep.
When I’m not performing, you can find me teaching yoga, taking long nature walks, thrifting, reading a book, journaling, meditating, creating social media content, playing Mario Party or exploring the city with friends—digital camera in hand.
I believe in the power of theatre to entertain, create empathy, and deepen our collective understanding. There’s magic in the connection between performer and audience—it transcends boundaries and brings us together through shared human experiences.
